I’m back and buried under a mountain of work, but it was totally worth it! Matt and I had an absolutely fabulous time together and of course, neither one of us can figure out why we waited so long to do it!
Believe it or not, there was actually a rainbow there to greet us when we checked into our room. Seriously, we walked out on to our balcony and there was a double rainbow in the sky, but the second one was really faint so it didn’t show up well on the picture.
We had a relaxing time – exploring gorgeous Victorian homes, antique stores, picking up rocks (’cause I’m a nerd like that) along the Lake Michigan shoreline, eating food that I didn’t have to cook ad that wasn’t fast food. It was fabulous. I want to go back. Right now.
Great pics. It's good to get away, especially with our sweeties. I need a vacation so bad. It's been a year since I've had a real vacation and I'm going crazy. I love Michigan and would love to visit again. I'll have to make a point of it. I absolutely loved Saginaw Island.
Hey Bronwyn.
Not only do you have to make me jealous with the mere fact you spent 4 days without children, not counting hubby of course, but you have to post pictures to prove it! You're killing me here girlfriend.
Beautiful shots. I'm so glad you and Matt had a great time and I agree. We all wait far too long. Yup, I'm still o the waiting list, but I'm sure it'll happen. Only six more years until the first goes off to college.
Opps, silly me, he's going to be a rockstar so I guess it'll be another twenty until he can keep me in the lap of luxury.
Looking forward to seeing more… cheers,
Kris
Glad you had a great time, Bron! Always good to get away to relax and recharge those creative batteries:)
I think I can see the second rainbow. Such a beautiful sign of hopefullness and love!
Love the pics. Glad you had a good time.
Soooo glad you enjoyed your vacation!
A double-rainbow? That HAS to be a good omen. Sounds like you had a blast.
I'm glad you had fun on your trip.
You should make it a semi-annual event.
Gorgeous pics!
Congratulations on the much needed and deserved vacation!
Love the photos!
Question though, the second one – is that a fire in the distance, northern lights, or an anomaly?
lovely photos!!! had to come get my bronwyn fix – glad I did.

Wow, those are gorgeous pics. I've only been to Michigan once, and not under the best of circumstances. I'd love to go again when I could enjoy it.
